This Amendment to a state constitution is likely intended to provide a basis for overturning state policies that conflict with right-wing ideology. For example, minimum wage laws, zoning and land use laws, race or gender-conscious policies, housing subsidies, or rent controls, and perhaps even environmental standards may all arguably interfere with the "free market" and be found unconstitutional if this proposed Amendment were adopted.
